Assam down town University hosted "Catalyst: Unveiling Student Innovation," an event organized by the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation in collaboration with the Institute’s Innovation Cell.
"Catalyst" was designed to inspire students to think beyond traditional boundaries and explore innovative solutions for challenges in physiotherapy, rehabilitation, and healthcare. The event featured a variety of projects, ranging from technology-driven healthcare solutions to sustainable and holistic approaches in patient care.
The event was honored by two distinguished judges: Dr. Manash J Borah, Associate Director, Directorate of Research, who evaluated the scientific merit and feasibility of the projects, and Abhijit Kalita (PT), Associate Dean (i/c) of the Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, who assessed the relevance and potential impact of the proposals on patient care and recovery.
Key innovations highlighted during the event included Smart Rehabilitation Tools, Virtual Physiotherapy Platforms, AI and Data Analytics in Physiotherapy, and alternative forms of treatment. The panel of esteemed judges evaluated the projects based on Innovation and Creativity, Feasibility and Practical Application, Impact on Healthcare, and Presentation Skills.
The event showcased the creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit of students, providing them with a platform to present groundbreaking ideas and startup proposals aimed at improving health, rehabilitation, and physiotherapy practices.
