This course is going to give understanding about the core of a hospital's offerings. The basic motive behind this subject to infuse that Hospitals are institutions comprising basic services and personnel usually departments of medicine and surgery that administer clinical and other services for specific diseases and conditions, as well as emergency services.
The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills involved in understanding a dissertation and wider market research. The course will engage students in the research process which involves the systematic gathering, recording and analysis of data about problems relating to marketing goods and services.
The Course will explain the basic financial concepts and practices and includes analysis of company resources, types and sources of financing, forecasting and planning methods, and the roles of the money and capital markets. The approach of financial management is to drive decision making that prioritizes business objectives in the long term. Financial management not only assist in setting company targets but also creates a platform for planning and governing plans to tackle challenges along the way. It also involves laying out steps to drive the business towards its objectives.
This course will enable the students use of marketing strategies like advertising, branding and promotional tactics to improve population health by interacting with community, building trust, displaying expertise in care in order to acquire new sufferers and create long lasting relationships.
The course of Human Resource Management mainly focuses on administrative services, staff administration, and performance management, and most importantly, on the hiring process. The course helps the students to study and get the knowledge and principles that are required to handle the human resources of the company.
This course is going to help student understand Laws relating to establishment of Hospital: Forming of Society of Trust, Health Policy. Also, it will give orientation about different forms of organizations, functions in organizations, business strategies and environment, along with an exposure to elements of business laws and entrepreneurship. Students will be able to Identify various types of legal issues when encountering them in the Hospital and Healthcare industry.
Hospital visits are conducted every week along with the academic curriculum of MHM students. Hospital Oriented Viva is a process to mainly evaluate the practical, managerial and clinical aspects.

This course promotes best practice in procurement activities and working on the ‘right’ issues of compliance, creativity and supply market knowledge. It establishes how to measure purchasing and contract contributions so that these critical functions are recognised as core competencies. It will help the students to understand the concept, elements, classification, and procedures in inventory management.
This course is designed to provide a introduction on the basics of Hospital Information Systems (HIS). Here the students will learn about the different solutions that play an important role in digitizing the healthcare industry.
This course is going to help the students learn about the hospital operations and the role and decision of hospital operations management. Along with that various operational procedures in hospital like admission, discharge, billing, average length of stay, bed occupancy rate, turn over interval, hospital census, matrons report, medical officers report, casualty report, medico-legal cases, ICU/ICCU report, security report, OT list.
This course is going to help the students understand the organisational relationships, which is External and Internal. It is designed to understand and calculate the value proposition of the customer for the organization. Along with that it is giving a brief understanding about database management and various techniques of customer acquisition.

Understand about corporate level strategies, understanding the different roles of strategic management, develop the awareness of different strategies for SWOT, PESTEL, BCG Matrix, Analyze, understand organizational appraisal, and learn about corporate level strategies in context with healthcare management.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a type of self-regulation that demonstrates a company’s responsibility and commitment to improving communities and society through various environmental and social initiatives. Employees are accountable for the social and environmental effects of their company as a business leader. Students will have better understanding of an organization’s relationship with its environment and stakeholders will lead to efficiency in business functions.

Human aspects are critical in each functional aspects of management and equally so for the effective utilization of resources. In view of this, organizational behavior has assumed great importance. This course is designed primarily for students who are being exposed to Organizational Behavior for the first time. This course covers the explanations about the human behavior in the organizational context. It details the impact of individual, group and organizational factors on human behavior. The course also focuses on understanding the behavior of the employees working in the organization. It highlights the significance of Challenges and Opportunities of OB, perception, attribution, learning, organizational change, organizational culture, motivation, leadership and conflict management. Classroom activities involving lectures, discussions and case studies (topped up with role play) will be designed to encourage students to get involved and absorb & assimilate inputs. These activities will also be supplemented by group discussions, cooperative group solving problems, analysis of video cases and debates
Students will learn about quality in healthcare, its history, pioneer, Total Quality Management (TQM), continuous quality management, PDCA cycle. They can carry out root cause analysis which includes Causal tree, decision table, appreciation, drill down, Ishikawa diagram, FMEA, Pareto analysis, Fault tree analysis after completion of the course.
This course is designed to enhance the ability to undertake research, critical thinking, and excellent communication.
This course will the student learn about the government’s plans and initiatives to improve healthcare system, various National Health Policy, National Five-year plans. Along with that it will help student to understand the basic concepts and methods of Epidemiology and the different level of healthcare system in India.
