During the period of studies, students will be learning about anesthesia, anesthesia equipments, surgical equipments, sterilization methods, pre-operative and post-operative care.   • Students will be able to understand different agents of anaesthesia and be able to recover the patient from anaesthesia
  • Students should be able to ensure the patient's safety and comfort during the surgical procedure and promoting a speedy and successful recovery, while minimizing the risks associated with general anaesthesia.
  • Students should be able to focused on ensuring optimal respiratory function, promoting adequate oxygenation and carbon dioxide removal, and preventing complications such as respiratory failure or hypoxia.

Course Overview

This course introduces students to the fields of assistive technology, human factors, and design as applied to occupational therapy.

Course Outcomes

  • Understanding the general guideline of positioning used in different procedures for surgery and monitoring patents whenever required.
  • Ability to use the instruments required in any kind of procedures
  • understanding the concept of several techniques and application of those techniques in the operation theatre room
  • Ability to follow and perform the duty as an OT technicians and understanding the scope of practice in the OT room
  • Understanding the different ethics and rights of an OT personnel.

  • Students should be able to understand the structure and function of the thoracic cavity and be able to assess and manage patients who require thoracic surgery,
  • Students should be able to understand the structure and function of the vascular system Students should be able to assess and manage patients who require vascular surgery.
  • Students should be able to understand the principles of organ donation and transplantation, including the ethical, legal, and social considerations related to the field
