Looking at the current scenario of demand and supply of agriculture based products, there is a need forthe development of strategiesthat will help to produce more agriculture related products using the same land again and again without causing any harm to it. Modern agriculture technology primarily relies on traditional knowledge which is refined over many years and blended with computer simulations and automation. B. Sc. (Agriculture) is also considered a professional course by the government of India.
B. Sc. Agriculture is an undergraduate course comprising 8 Semesters (4 years). The main objective of this course is to produce agricultural technocrats by providing in-depth knowledge on agronomy, crop physiology, genetics, agri-economics, soil science, plant pathology organic farming, IPR, Bioinformatics etc. which help to enhance the skills of the students. The course curriculum is designed as per the NEP,2020. The Faculty of Agriculture Science and Technology is well equipped with advanced laboratories including sophisticated instruments.
