Assam down town University proudly hosted Pharma Anveshan-2025 on March 6, 2025, under the aegis of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science. Organized to commemorate National Pharmacy Education Day, observed in honor of Professor M.L. Schroff, the Father of Pharmaceutical Education in India, the event brought together industry experts, academicians, and aspiring professionals to explore the future of pharmaceutical innovation and entrepreneurship.

The program commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries, followed by a stirring rendition of Assam’s National Anthem, performed by pharmacy students. Afterwards, Dr. Saikat Sen, Professor & Dean, delivered a warm welcome address, emphasizing the transformative role of entrepreneurship and startups in shaping the pharmaceutical landscape. This was followed by an enlightening keynote address by Prof Pranveer Singh PhD (IITK) FIE FSED Disruptive Education and Learning Innovator, Pro-Vice Chancellor, who underscored the importance of multidisciplinary collaborations in driving advancements in pharmaceutical sciences.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Sudhir Saha (PCI, New Delhi), highlighted the critical need for incubation centers and strong industry-academia partnerships to accelerate pharmaceutical startups. Further enriching the discourse, Mr. Zahidul Mozumder (Government Analyst, Assam) delved into the significance of regulatory compliance and advanced analytical techniques in pharmaceutical entrepreneurship. Mr. Gunajit Roy (QC Head, Avizen Biopharma) reinforced the importance of stringent quality control measures, stressing their impact on drug safety and market competitiveness.

Adding an inspiring real-world perspective, Mr. Safikul Alom, a successful entrepreneur and proud AdtU alumnus, shared his professional journey in the pharmaceutical industry, encouraging students to embrace innovation and entrepreneurship.

The event concluded on a high note with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Professor (Dr.) Anata Choudhury, Director, IQAC, AdtU, who acknowledged the profound impact of Pharma Anveshan-2025 in fostering a culture of innovation, incubation, and entrepreneurial excellence within the pharmaceutical sector.
