We are delighted to share the success of the Nutrition Education and Problem Identification Drive organized at Shahid Kushal Konwar HS School, Panikhaiti.
Organized by the Institutions' Innovation Council (IIC), down town Venture Labs Foundation, Directorate of Innovation, Startup and Acceleration (DISA) and E-Cell, in collaboration with the Faculty of Sciences and Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, this outreach initiative was a step forward in fostering health awareness and hygiene education among school students and their families.
The event opened with a warm welcome, followed by informative sessions led by faculty members who covered essential topics on food hygiene, balanced diets, and personal cleanliness. Students and parents engaged in a hands-on learning experience through interactive quizzes, live demonstrations, and discussions on best practices for hygiene. Visual aids, leaflets, and educational exhibits emphasized the importance of a balanced, nutritious diet and practical hygiene routines. Additionally, motivational prizes were awarded to the top quiz participants, which added a fun, memorable element to the day and reinforced key learnings.
This initiative achieved remarkable outcomes by enhancing awareness and encouraging healthy habits within the community. Participants left with a renewed commitment to applying these practices in their daily lives, from proper handwashing to safe food handling. Overall, the Nutrition Education and Problem Identification Drive was a significant milestone in strengthening ties between the university and the community, underscoring our commitment to public health through education and community involvement.
