Assam down town University takes pride in the achievements of its faculty, and we are delighted to share that Dr. Abhijit Kalita PT, Associate Dean (i/c), Faculty of Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Assam down town University, was recently invited as an expert speaker at Physiofest 2025, an international conference on Physiotherapy held on April 4th and 5th, 2025, at RK University, Rajkot, Gujarat. The prestigious event brought together physiotherapy students and professionals from across the country for two days of insightful sessions and meaningful networking.

Mr. Kalita delivered a thought-provoking expert talk on “Regional Interdependence, Pain, and the Human Body,” where he presented groundbreaking perspectives on how interconnected systems within the human body influence pain perception and rehabilitation outcomes. Additionally, he was part of an engaging panel discussion titled “From Classroom to Clinic: Enhancing Critical Thinking and Clinical Decision-Making in Physiotherapy Education,” where he joined fellow experts in advocating for educational innovations such as problem-based learning (PBL), simulation labs, and interprofessional collaborations, all aimed at transforming physiotherapy students into agile, analytical clinicians.

Mr. Kalita also served as a judge for the scientific paper presentations, evaluating a wide range of impactful research conducted by postgraduate students and practitioners. His participation highlighted not only his expertise but also Assam down town University's commitment to academic excellence and global knowledge exchange in the field of physiotherapy.
