Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme at AdtU inspires students with expert insights

Assam down town University, through its Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) under the Directorate of Innovation, Startup, and Acceleration, in collaboration with the North Eastern Handicrafts and Handlooms Development Corporation Limited (NEHHDC), successfully organized a One-Day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme.

The programme featured three esteemed speakers who shared their expertise and real-world experiences in the entrepreneurial domain. Ms. Nandinee Kalita, an Independent Consultant, Corporate Trainer, and Mentor, delivered an insightful session on the importance of innovation, resilience, and adaptability, inspiring students to take proactive steps in their professional journeys.

Following her session, Ms. Jahnabi Barkakati, a passionate entrepreneur and founder of Yummy Arts and Marigold Homes, highlighted the significance of promoting local craftsmanship through her homegrown businesses, which specialize in handcrafted Axomiya cushion covers, table runners, and table mats.

The final session was conducted by Dr. Chandana Goswami, a seasoned Life Coach, Corporate Trainer, and Director of Lifeline Technology OPC Pvt. Ltd. She underscored the role of mentorship, networking, and resource accessibility in entrepreneurial success. Her discussion on emotional intelligence and strategic decision-making provided students with a deeper understanding of navigating challenges in the business world.

The interactive nature of the event fostered enthusiasm and engagement among participants, equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurship. Through dynamic discussions and thought-provoking insights, attendees gained a valuable perspective on starting and sustaining a business.
